Legend NBA LA Lakers Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bean Bryant was an American professional basketball player. He played his entire 20-year career in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Los Angeles Lakers. He entered the NBA directly from high school and won five NBA championships.
Bryant, the 18-time All-Star and five-time champion, retired in 2016, having won Olympic gold medals as a member of Team U.S.A. in 2008 and 2012.
In retirement, Bryant had expanded his purview, winning an Academy Award in 2018 for his animated short film “Dear Basketball.” He was scheduled to headline the 2020 N.B.A. Hall of Fame nominees.
On Sunday 26 January 2020 Basketball icon Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash on Sunday in Calabasas, California. He was 41.
Bryant was often referred to by his self-given nickname “Black Mamba,” a type of snake, which signified his prowess and competitive attitude. Bryant was the second-highest-paid NBA player of all time, having earned an estimated $US323 million from his NBA career salary alone.
Bryant was married to Vanessa Bryant with whom he had four children: Bianka, Gianna, Natalia, and Capri, their youngest child, who was born in June.
